The firm of Edgewater Design was founded in 1989 by Jan Saltiel Rafel, CLA. The firm, a WBE, specializing in Landscape Architecture, works on a wide range of site projects including Civic and Institutional; Academic; Commercial; Corporate; Public and Private Residential.

Jan Saltiel Rafel is a registered Landscape Architect in New Jersey and New York. Her approach to design is based on the integration of various disciplines. Her practical experience including working with professional Architects and Engineers, has given her a clear understanding of the design and construction process.

Ms. Saltiel Rafel has also studied landscape design in England and has taught Landscape Architecture Design and History at the university level. Ms. Saltiel Rafel works with her associate landscape architects on the design of all projects. They are closely involved in all aspects of a project, committed from the design to its construction. The team will also advise on maintenance management of a project after its completion.

Having almost all of our design projects built, our experience gives us a clear understanding of construction costs, the latest construction techniques and materials, and meeting time schedules. Our professional staff can provide the latest design and technological information to accommodate the types of site improvements required for any project.
